# Billing

Plans, who the invoices go to, paying the first period at Mollie and the direct debits after it, and the invoices.

## What you pay for

Every plan has as many environments as you like, production included. The plans differ in how many applications, team members and cloud accounts they have room for.

| | No subscription | Solo | Business | Enterprise |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Per month, excluding VAT | free | €15 | €49 | on request |
| Per year, excluding VAT | free | €150 | €490 | on request |
| Applications | 1 | 20 | unlimited | unlimited |
| Team members | 1 | 1 | unlimited | unlimited |
| Cloud accounts | 1 | 1 | 3 | 5 or more |
| Environments | unlimited | unlimited | unlimited | unlimited |
| Own domains | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Drift checks and the MCP server | no | yes | yes | yes |
| Admin role | no | no | yes | yes |

A year costs ten months: two months are free. A cloud account is a connected Scaleway account; bunny.net does not count. Invitations that are still open take a member's place.

Without a subscription you can try everything on one application, alone: deploy it, to production too, on the address its provider gives it. An own domain comes with a plan.

The Billing page shows what you use next to what your plan allows. Brewless holds the limits wherever something is added: an application, an own domain, an invitation, a cloud account. Its message says what to do: choose a plan, or move to a larger one. Your cloud costs are not in these prices: Scaleway and bunny.net bill you directly.

The table shows the plans as they are offered now; the **Billing** page always shows the current ones. The price you start with stays while your subscription runs, also when a plan costs more later or is no longer offered. The limits and features of your plan are the ones it has now.

## Enterprise, and more than a plan has

Enterprise is agreed per organisation: its price and how many cloud accounts it has. The **Billing** page shows **Contact us**, which mails Brewless. Once you agree, Brewless records the agreement and the **Billing** page shows Enterprise at the agreed price; you start it like any other plan.

The same agreement can give a plan more than its limits, for example more than 20 applications on Solo. Its limits apply at once.

An organisation that subscribed to Starter, the plan before Solo, keeps the 3 members Starter had, through such an agreement.

## A plan from Brewless

Brewless can give your organisation a plan at no cost, for example during a pilot. The **Billing** page then says so, and until when. Nothing is charged and no payment details are needed. The plan works like a paid one, but you cannot cancel or change it yourself; ask Brewless. Once it ends, you are back on the free limits and can choose a plan. Everything you run keeps running.

## Billing details

Billing is for the owner of the organisation. On the **Billing** page of the console the owner gives who the invoices go to: the company name, address, country, VAT number and the email address for invoices.

Brewless invoices businesses in the European Union. The VAT number is checked against the EU's register VIES when you save it; a number VIES does not know is refused, and when VIES cannot be reached you are asked to try again a little later.

- A business in the Netherlands pays 21% Dutch VAT.
- A business elsewhere in the EU pays no VAT on the invoice: it is reverse charged, and you account for it in your own country.

## Starting a subscription

Choose a plan and whether you pay monthly or yearly, then **Subscribe and pay**. You pay the first period at Mollie, by any method Mollie offers you there. That first payment also gives Mollie a mandate, so the periods after it are collected by direct debit.

Your subscription starts once Mollie confirms the payment. Back in the console, the page checks with Mollie until it has an answer. A payment you cancel, that fails or that runs out starts nothing and charges nothing; you can start again.

## Changing your plan

On the **Billing** page, each plan shows what switching to it means before anything changes:

- **A larger plan** starts at once. You pay the difference for the rest of the current period at Mollie's checkout, and the plan changes as soon as that is paid.
- **A smaller plan** starts with your next period, at its lower price. It only can when your applications, your team and your cloud accounts fit in it; if they no longer fit by then, your plan stays as it is.

## Renewing

On the day a period ends, Brewless collects the next one on the mandate, at the price your subscription started with. A yearly subscription is announced by mail 30 days before; a monthly one is not. After every payment the invoice address gets a mail with the invoice number.

A direct debit can take a few days. While it is being processed nothing is collected twice.

## When a payment does not go through

If the bank refuses the direct debit, or there is no mandate:

1. **At once** the subscription is overdue, and the invoice address gets a mail with a link to pay at Mollie. Paying it also gives a new mandate.
2. **After 7 days** a reminder follows, with a fresh link.
3. **After 14 days** the organisation is suspended: deploying, from the console or the command line, and the console itself stop. The owner can still sign in and pay on the **Billing** page.

Your applications keep running throughout: they are in your own accounts and Brewless is not in their path. Paying opens everything again at once. A link in a mail can run out; **Pay now** on the Billing page always makes a fresh one.

## When a payment is taken back

If your bank takes back a payment that was already made (a chargeback), the organisation is suspended at once, and the invoice address gets a mail with a link to pay that period again. Paying it opens everything again.

## How Brewless knows a payment changed

Mollie tells Brewless when a payment changes, and Brewless then reads the payment from Mollie itself. In case such a message goes missing, Brewless also asks Mollie every hour about payments that are still open, and once a day about the payments of the last 60 days, so a missed change is caught within the hour, or the next day for a chargeback.

## Cancelling

The owner cancels on the **Billing** page. The subscription runs until the end of the period you paid for and is not charged after that; until that day you can keep it after all. An overdue subscription is paid before it can be cancelled. A plan from Brewless ends on the agreed day.

## Invoices

Every paid period gets an invoice from Coding Agency, numbered on without gaps per year (`BL-2026-00001`). It keeps your billing details as they were on that day. The mail for each payment carries it, and the Billing page lists them, each as:

- a **PDF**, to keep or forward;
- **UBL**, the European e-invoice standard (EN 16931), which most bookkeeping software reads in directly. A business elsewhere in the EU finds the reverse charge in it as VAT category AE.

Invoices and payment records are kept for seven years, as Dutch tax law requires, also after an organisation has ended.
